What will you be working on

The Records Management Team
The Records Management Team, as the custodian of the Board’s records and information, plays a vital role in managing the Board’s official records, ensuring important decisions and information are captured and retained. This aids in maintaining operational integrity and efficiency, comply with regulations and thus enhance our role as Trustee. 
As a Records Management Specialist (Intern), you will gain hands-on experience with a forward-looking team that is reimagining how records and information are managed in a rapidly evolving landscape, while contributing meaningfully and building practical knowledge in records and information management.

 

What you will work on and learn:

1. Technology and Market Research: Conduct research on global tends in information governance and records management. Learn how emerging technologies can be applied to enhance, automate, or transform CPFB's records management processes.
2. Policy Monitoring and Compliance: Understand keyframeworks such as the IM4L and other public sector guidelines. Support monitoring efforts and contribute to reviews aimed at improving compliance and strengthening records and information practices. 

3. Data Analysis and Reporting: Use data analytics tools to identify trends and derive insights from the Board's records. Develop skills in generating reports and visualisations to support team decision-making and strategy. 

4. Stakeholder Engagement: Gain experience in engaging internal stakeholders to promote awareness and adoption of good records management practices. Assist in crafting communication materials and supporting outreach initiatives. 

What are we looking for

We value the diverse talents and experiences that each individual brings to the table. While mastery of every requirement may not be necessary, familiarity and expertise in some of the following areas will position you for success within this team.

  • Available full-time (5 days / week) 
  • Currently pursuing studies in Information or Knowledge Management, Library & Information Science, Archives & Records Management, Data Science or a related field is a plus. 
  • A genuine interest in information or records management, or a strong curiousity to explore these fields. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; inquisitive and able to express ideas clearly. 
  • Keen interest in exploring new technologies and innovations in these areas, especially information and records management. 
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual. 
  • Willingness to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to take on new challenges.
