What you will be working on
The Digital Services Department (DSD) drives the transformation of digital services and user-centric service delivery across the Board by implementing and supporting implementation of digital-related initiatives, setting up design strategy and standards, and managing business process. DSD bridges between Operations and Technology, and works closely with Users and Engineers to lead and deliver Value and Outcomes swiftly and competently.
In this role, you will:
- Contribute your tech skills to one of our many products and initiatives that aim to make CPF Board and whole of government work better, including opportunities where GenAI can add real user value.
- Explore the field of GenAI, and help prototype standalone products or build our end-to-end GenAI platform stack to enable other GenAI development teams to build products that improve the way we work.
- Work in a cross disciplinary team with UI/UX designers and Product Managers to ship usable, safe, and measurable features.
- Gain hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, including cloud services commonly used to build and deploy AI-enabled systems.
What are we looking for
We value the diverse skills and perspectives that each intern brings. While you may not need to meet every requirement fully, having some familiarity or budding expertise in the following areas will help you make the most of this opportunity and succeed with our team.
- Currently pursuing a Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Has some experience or keen interest in cloud solutions and GenAI, with basic development knowledge in Java, Python, or large language models; familiarity with prompt engineering, evaluation, or RAG is a plus.
- Interested in developing problem-solving skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting technical issues, including investigating model outputs and system behaviour.
- Communicates clearly, both in speaking and writing. Able to explain technical ideas in a simple way, including GenAI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Works well independently and with others, takes initiative without needing constant supervision.
Position is on a full-time internship basis from May 2026 to December 2026.
