What you will be working on

As part of the Communications Group, the Outreach and Partnerships Department (OPD) actively engages diverse segments of the community through targeted talks/workshops, and public education events, ensuring that vital information reaches all segments of Singapore's population. We also manage international exchanges and host foreign delegations to share social security insights and build diplomatic relationships.

This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international relations, with a focus on developing skills in stakeholder engagement, event management, and cross-cultural communication. Working as part of a dynamic team, you will help plan and execute a regional event that brings together social security organisations across Southeast Asia to share knowledge and strengthen collaborative partnerships.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the coordination and logistics planning for a regional event, including venue arrangements, participant registration, event scheduling and update of event website.
  • Assist in developing conference materials such as welcome packages, informational brochures, and presentation templates that reflect CPF Board's professional standards.
  • Help coordinate with foreign delegates and counterparts, including managing correspondence and providing administrative support for meeting arrangements.
  • Support the preparation of briefing materials and background research on participating social security organisations and their systems.
  • Assist in documenting conference proceedings, key discussions, and outcomes for internal reporting and follow-up actions.
  • Help facilitate networking sessions and cultural exchange activities that strengthen regional partnerships.
  • Provide on-site support during the conference, including registration assistance, delegate coordination, and troubleshooting logistical issues.

What are we looking for

We value the diverse skills and perspectives that each intern brings. While you may not need to meet every requirement fully, having some familiarity or budding expertise in the following areas will help you make the most of this opportunity and succeed with our team.

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in International Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Interest in international affairs, regional cooperation, and social security systems.
  • Basic understanding of ASEAN countries and their cultural contexts would be advantageous.
  • Experience or interest in event planning and coordination.
  • Communicates clearly, both in speaking and writing.
  • Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and international partners.
  • Strong time management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Approaches problems with a flexible mindset and adjusts when project needs change.
  • Works well independently and with others, takes initiative without needing constant supervision.

Position is on a full-time internship basis from May 2026 to December 2026.
