What you will be working on
The Actuarial Services Department (ASD) is responsible for conducting actuarial analysis for CPFB-administered insurance schemes. This includes premium calibration, valuation, experience monitoring, policy reviews, risk management strategies, and assessing key financial metrics. The department also manages and enhances actuarial and analytical models, supports the implementation of regulatory frameworks and industry best practices, conducts research on actuarial approaches, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders on actuarial and insurance issues. Additionally, the department produces actuarial-related analytics and projects that support the Board's initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct valuations for insurance schemes based on existing manuals and produce results for comparison with valuation reports, providing feedback to enhance our processes and documentation.
- Assist in ongoing research and analytics on the health of the Singapore population, including referencing overseas developments.
- Gain hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: experience analysis, policy evaluation, capital review, and financial metrics monitoring.

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or a related field.
- Experience with data analytics and statistical programming is an advantage.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Communicates clearly, both in speaking and writing.
- Works well independently and with others, takes initiative without needing constant supervision.
Position is on a full-time internship basis from May 2026 to August 2026.
