What you will be working on
The Corporate Digital Applications Department (CDD) manages CPF Board's digital systems for member engagement and corporate applications.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our SB-FRS 117 project team. The project involves the implementation of a technical solution using SAP PAPM as the calculation engine and SAP Datasphere for ETL and data platform capabilities. The system will interface with four insurance schemes via SFTP and integrate with SAP Finance for GL posting. The project also includes an actuarial modelling component using Prophet, managed by an in-house actuarial team.
The project team comprises a Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager, and is supported by both an advisory vendor and an implementation vendor. The intern will provide additional capacity to the team during the current requirement study, design, and development phase, with a key focus on supporting system integration testing and user acceptance testing activities.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate testing activities across multiple stakeholder groups, including finance users, the actuarial team, scheme IT teams, and vendors, working closely with the project team throughout the process.
- Support the preparation of testing data, validate test data and results, review test cases, perform testing, and track defects and errors through to resolution.
- Facilitate communication and follow-ups between the various teams involved in the testing process to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Maintain clear and accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, test plans, test cases, defect logs, and status reports.
- Leverage AI tools where appropriate to enhance productivity and the quality of work, such as drafting documentation, analysing data, generating test cases, or summarising meeting discussions.
- Assist with other ad hoc tasks to support the broader project team as needed.
What we are looking for
We value the diverse skills and perspectives that each intern brings. While you may not meet every requirement fully, having some familiarity or budding expertise in the following areas will help you make the most of this opportunity and succeed with our team.
- Currently pursuing a Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, preferably in the penultimate or final year of studies.
- Prior coursework or project experience in software testing, systems analysis, IT project management, or documentation is an advantage.
- Keen to learn and adopt new technologies, with a willingness to pick up SAP systems such as SAP PAPM or SAP Datasphere on the job.
- Basic understanding of system integration concepts, data flows, and ETL processes.
- Some exposure to financial or insurance systems, accounting standards such as FRS 117, or actuarial concepts would be useful, though not required.
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to assist in drafting documentation, analysing data, generating test cases, or summarising meeting discussions.
- Communicates clearly, both in speaking and writing, with the ability to engage effectively across multiple teams and vendors.
- Organised and meticulous, and comfortable working in a structured project environment with multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Works well independently and with others, takes initiative without needing constant supervision.
Position is on a full-time internship basis from January 2027 to June 2027.
