What you will be working on

The Strategy and Planning Department (SPD) supports CPFB in charting its strategic direction, identifying emerging issues and strengthening the organisation's readiness for the future. As an intern, you will support strategic conversations with management on CPFB's direction and focus areas, as well as contribute to CPFB international engagement efforts where we keep ourselves abreast of global trends.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the planning and delivery of the 2027 CPF International Experts Roundtable, where CPFB hosts 6-7 international experts to discuss retirement and pensions related issues;
  • Support the research and development of discussion briefs and materials for the International Experts Roundtable.
  • Conduct environmental scans on trends and driving forces that may affect CPFB and synthesise the findings into implications and clear discussion themes.
  • Support the design and preparation of strategic conversations with management, including framing questions, developing discussion materials and capturing key insights.

What we are looking for

We value the diverse skills and perspectives that each intern brings. While you may not need to meet every requirement fully, having some familiarity or budding expertise in the following areas will help you make the most of this opportunity and succeed with our team.

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Business, Economics, Social Sciences, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Has strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather information from multiple sources, identify key themes and draw out implications.
  • Is able to present complex information clearly and concisely in writing, presentations and discussions.
  • Demonstrates curiosity about emerging trends, strategy, retirement and pension systems, and international developments.
  • Is organised and meticulous, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and timelines.
  • Communicates confidently, takes initiative and works effectively both independently and with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Position is on a full-time internship basis from January 2027 to June 2027.
