What you will be working on

In this role, you will:

  • Work with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders (consultants, industry workgroups, government ministries/agencies etc) on actuarial and insurance-related tasks and projects.
  • Setup and perform ongoing enhancement of the actuarial processes and workflow (covering modelling, valuation, experience studies, key risk monitoring, pricing analysis etc) to manage the CPFB insurance schemes.
  • Operationalise regulatory framework, accounting standards and industry best practices for CPFB insurance schemes.
  • Conduct research on actuarial approaches relevant for CPFB insurance schemes.
  • Leverage on data analytics to conduct actuarial analyses to support the Board’s initiatives to benefit CPF members.

What are we looking for

  • Relevant experience in actuarial analysis and insurance scheme management, with demonstrated progression in actuarial responsibilities.
  • Have experience in technical actuarial work including modelling, valuation, experience studies, and risk monitoring. 
  • Proficient in FIS insurance risk suite (Prophet), with experience in data analytics and statistical programming tools such as Python and Power BI being advantageous.
  • Good understanding of Financial Reporting Standard 117 (FRS117), current regulatory framework and industry practices.
  • Have experience in stakeholder management and working with diverse internal and external partners.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality work and developing solutions for challenging industry issues.
  • Communicates effectively, both in writing and speaking.
  • Works independently and manages priorities effectively.
  • Adaptable and resourceful in handling different tasks and challenges. 


The seniority of appointment and actual corporate job title will commensurate with individual work experiences.

Position is on a 2-year full time contract directly under the payroll of CPF Board with potential for emplacement into permanent position.
