What you will be working on
In this role, you will:
- Render advice and provide comprehensive and practical solutions on a wide range of legal issues, including contract law, intellectual property law, corporate governance, criminal law, employment law, family law, and regulatory matters under CPF legislation.
- Be involved in the legal groundwork for key policy changes, analyse new policies, advise on the required legislative changes, and draft or propose legislation amendments, including liaising with the Attorney-General's Chambers on such matters.
- Draft, vet, and provide legal advice on a range of contracts, MOUs, terms and conditions, and other documents, including those related to goods and services, IT, construction, investments, real estate, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Conduct educational legal talks and be involved in legal technology initiatives.
- Where required, be involved in the prosecution of various statutory offences under the Central Provident Fund Act, including preparing and conducting mentions, pre-trial conferences, and trials, as well as handling legal issues relating to enforcement and investigations.

- Relevant experience in providing legal advice, contract drafting and review, legal research, and stakeholder management in private practice and/or an in-house legal environment.
- Trained in Law and qualified under the Legal Profession Act.
- Have experience in analytical and critical thinking, with the ability to reason compellingly and navigate complex legal issues.
- Have experience in leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve work processes, productivity, or service delivery; a keen interest in technology and AI-enabled solutions would be an advantage.
- Communicates effectively, both in writing and speaking, with the ability to write clearly for diverse audiences.
- Works independently and manages priorities effectively.
- Adaptable and resourceful in handling different tasks and challenges.
The seniority of appointment and actual corporate job title will commensurate with individual work experiences.
Position is on a 2-year full-time contract directly under the payroll of CPF Board with potential for emplacement into a permanent position.
