What you will be working on
The Design Excellence Centre (DXC) shapes digital experiences for CPF members. We work with departments across the organisation to create and improve digital services that are easy to use, accessible, and focused on users. This is a senior product designer role focused on user-centred design strategy and interaction design.
In this role, you willl:
- Drive design problem-solving, from identifying user needs and generating concepts to defining a product and crafting how people will interact with it.
- Lead user research initiatives to influence product strategy and inform design decisions.
- Synthesise business, technology, user and content requirements into design concepts and set direction for the development of prototypes, user flows, design patterns and mock-ups.
- Communicate design concepts and design decisions, and explain trade-offs in a compelling way to stakeholders to get buy-in.
- Work closely with product owners, managers, and tech teams (both internal and vendor) to shape the product roadmap by sharing human-centred design perspectives.
- Review work of junior designers and provide technical guidance to improve quality.

- Contributing to design documentation and governance guides.
It’ll be a bonus if you have:
- Complementary skills such as illustration, animation, or UX writing.
- Experience with product management, content strategy or information architecture.
You’ll succeed because you have:
- Experience in product design, with strong design capability in a product environment.
- A proven track record in independently leading research and strategy initiatives.
- Proficiency in contemporary design tools, both physical and digital (such as Figma and Figjam).
- An owner's mindset and can take the initiative to make things happen.
- Prior experience working on complex projects at financial institutions, super-apps, or leading consultancies.
- A curious mindset with genuine interest in how people think and behave, and in emerging technologies like AI.
- A genuine motivation to create meaningful impact through public service and user-centered design.
The seniority of appointment and actual corporate job title will commensurate with individual work experiences.
Position is on a 1-year full-time contract directly under the payroll of CPF Board with an option to renew, contingent upon confirmation and subject to organisational needs. Additionally, there is potential for emplacement into a permanent position.
